Default How much storage do I need

Hey,

I live in a fairly wet climate (western oregon) and I'm looking to install a Rainwater catchment system at my house, my roof is approx. 1600 sq. ft. Can someone help my figure out how much water containment I'm going to need?

How much are you actually looking at storing? What are you using it for and how often will you use it? How long does the water need to last you?

You're water storage considerations can vary depending on what you're doing with it.

Well, I'll be using the water mostly for light irrigation (watering can, drip irrigation). I'm hoping the water will last in between rains (maybe a few weeks).....

I have 10K gallons, It will run my entire house for 1 month without any rain, and being conservative with water. However where I live, my tank is almost always overflowing.
