Default Help! Integrating Rainwater Irrigation with Sprinklers

Hey all - I was looking around for some information and thought I could get some help here...

Bidding a project for where the homeowner wants to use rainwater from his roof in conjunction with his sprinkler system. Ive never done a setup like this before, but with the economy i'm open to learning. Any idea on setup, etc???? Your help is appreciated!!!!!

I've seen this done before, but make sure you are going to collect enough water to make it workable. What kind of climate is this in?

You should be aware when doing this that most sprinklers average 10gpm for just 10 minutes of watering over one zone---Sprays run 5min, rotors run 20 mins. It doesn't seem like you could collect enough rainwater in any climate to consistently use it in sprinklers.

Put in Drip instead of sprinklers.

Drip is a good idea, I don't know why people don't do more of it. Still think that you wont get enough rainwater to last you during the months that you actually need it. Have you thought about greywater instead?

Just think, everytime the shower drains a plant gets its wings...wait, a plant gets watered.
