Default How and how well should I filter graywater

I am considering installing a graywater system at my house to capture my used shower water... What is the best method for filtering that water? I've seen some products out there but they seem really pricey, (700+) is there a lower cost solution on the market?

You can always use a bucket to capture water from your shower

What are you planning on doing with your recycled greywater? I'm assuming you wanna use it for irrigation of some sort? In that case you'll need a system that has a pump, and for that I would suggest something with pre-filtration prior to the pump and some sort of really fine mesh filtration before the irrigation line. You will want a quality system with Filtration if you are using your shower water for irrigation.

Functional over cost, always. Do your research on the system out there and make the best informed decision that you can. Hair in the irrigation line....yuck! Let us know when you get it setup and how it works!

Default Thx!

Thanks for your input gardenguru. I'll figure out the best system for what I need, and then worry about the money. The quality of what i'm paying for is definitely more important than what I pay!
